Zibele Mvila

Zibele now has 16 years of experience in the Film and Television Industries. After completing his National Diploma in Computer Applications and wanting to pursue a career in the film industry, It
was natural that he showed a keen interest in the technical aspects of the film process. He enrolled himself in Film Afrika's F.I.L.M training programme to get a fuller understanding of filmmaking.
This aided him in his understanding of Video and Production, as well as set him up toenter the world of Film. Zibele started as a Production Assistant on Skoonheid in 2010 where his responsibilities ranged from cashing in cheques to shuttling actors around. After paying his dues as a PA on various projects, he progressed to the video take-off department on Film Afrika's, The Girl. From there he went from strength to strength and has become an invaluable member of the camera department of Starz' Black Sails as well as Showtime's Homeland. Zibele's references will attest to his work ethic, commitment and attention to detail. He accepts every challenge with two arms open and has a great thirst for knowledge. He thinks on his feet and is dedicated to diligently performing the task at hand to his best ability.
