Phumlani Shongwe

Phumlani Shongwe discovered his passion for cinematography at the age of 12. He began by assisting his father with his equipment and, by the time he reached high school, was helping out on shoots.
His enthusiasm for the craft led him to invest in his own equipment, allowing him to pursue his creative vision independently. Since then, Phumlani has never looked back, honing his skills as a cinematographer and learning to tell stories visually.
He resonates with Stanley Kubrick's words: "Art consists of reshaping life, but it does not create life nor cause life."
